Minecraft vs Roblox

minecraft        Vs         roblox

Minecraft and Roblox are very similar games in which I am sure everyone knows. Both game s are about placing blocks to build pretty much anything you can imagine. I am talking about anything from building a simple tree to building the Star Trek Enterprise (oh yes, someone has done this!). There are some pros and cons of both games but from experience I have enjoyed them both and they do have their own unique features to offer as well.

Pricing:

Minecraft unfortunately loses is this category for you do have to buy the game in order to play it. It is $20 to buy it but after buying it you do have the game forever which is nice.

Roblox is completely free to play but does offer 3 different upgrades for real money just like any other online game out there. Some people think that this game is not worth playing unless you can afford to put a little money into it. Trust me, from experience that is not the case what so ever. Roblox has a ton of features to offer without putting a dime into the game.

Online Community:

Both Minecraft and Roblox have massive online community’s but I would have to ultimately give this one to Minecraft. Both community’s are very friendly and answer any questions about the games quickly and accurately. The amount of people that have played Minecraft more than doubles the number for Roblox. Minecraft simply got out there sooner and the developers obviously did something right with the game to make it so popular.

Gameplay:

This one is truly tough when it comes to comparing Minecraft and Roblox and I feel is still up for grabs for both games. The great thing about Roblox is that it features hundreds of mini games within the game itself for users to check out and play. Users can even make their own mini games if they so desire. Roblox definitely wins when it comes to mini games.

Minecraft wins in the construction part of the game but Roblox is not very far behind. And when I say not very far behind I mean right behind it. Both games have pretty much the same capabilities when it comes to construction and you can literally build whatever you would like in either game. Both interfaces are easy to use once you get used to them and each game has about the same graphic style and overall design.

Websites:

I am sorry but Minecraft loses terribly in this department. There website is to simple for its own good and is not that appealing what so ever. At least the Roblox developers gave their site a little spice and navigation options. With all of the money that Minecraft has made, shame on them for this aspect of their game.

Final Thoughts:

As you can tell, these games are too similar for their own good! They each have their ups and downs but when choosing I would have to go with the cheapest game because I guess I just do not like spending money. Roblox is my choice because of it being free to play along with my opinion of Minecraft just not being all that great! For you Minecraft lovers out there, it is only an opinion and I do realize how great of a game Minecraft truly is, trust me.
