Virtual Families is a casual family simulation game that runs in real time and can be downloaded completely free online. This game is said to be a very close look alike to The Sims and let me tell you from experience that it plays very similar to it. In short, players adopt and nurture an avatar and guide it through everyday life things such as starting a family and owning a home.
The game features cute anime style looking graphics and design but don’t let that fool you. Virtual Families is as in
depth as it is kidish looking. Some of the features that the game has to offer will truly blow your mind away. My favorite is how the weather and the day/night cycles are synchronized to the user’s system clock. This simply means that if it is night where you are then it is night in the game. Or if it is raining where you are then it is also raining in the game.
The family members within Virtual Families are all unique in their own way for there are thousands of them to choose from. Each and everyone is fully trainable through praising and scolding. This simply means that their personalities can be shaped or adapted to how you want them to be. Another great feature about the virtual characters is that their is a built in dynamic illness system within them meaning they can get sick just like you can in real life. If this happens it is your responsibility to nurture them back to health.
Even though Virtual Families is a game where you take care of a family and make sure that they are taken care of in every aspect of their life, it still shares other features that keep the game from being so repetitive. Within the players’ homes, there are hidden puzzles and mini games that will keep them busy for hours if they so choose.
The in game store allows players to buy whatever they need to care for their family as well. Feeding them and making sure they are not crabby are just two of the things that players will need to keep an eye on throughout the everyday life of their family. The easy to use interface makes navigating throughout the game very easy so finding what you need is a simple task.
I have been playing this game for a while now learning the ins and outs of it and so far I am very impressed with it. It is a very complex game with most of the features that The Sims has and that is impressive for the sole fact that this is a
